Free Derry Lives

Local people's Memories of Free Derry

Unique Multimedia Archive

The launch of our latest initiative, Free Derry Lives, took place in the Guildhall’s main hall on Thursday 8th August 2019. Visitors were encouraged to walk among silhouettes of the past and see and hear various stories of people, places and incidents unique to Free Derry and the civil rights era of 1968-1972. To accompany this exhibition this video archive was captured and produced by Hive Studios - commissioned and facilitated by Bloody Sunday Trust and Museum of Free Derry with the support of the Heritage Lottery and the Department of Foreign Affairs.
